Nothing Short of a Concours
As soon as I
stepped onto the show field at 9:00 A.M, I immediately realized this was not
just any ordinary motorcycle show. This was my first time to the now second
annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival held at the LeMay car museum and going into
it did not entirely know what to expect aside from being informed it was going
to be double the size of last year. It featured some of the most exclusive and rare
motorcycles from all over the globe including many of the finest examples and unveilings
of 2014 models from what manufactures of today have to offer.
Not only was
the showing of motorcycles themselves an impressive feat, the activities and events over the course of the day was a
complete success for all ages and interests. This included a trials show, the unveiling of some rare Ducatis that hold
history in racing from the Silverman Museum, Seattle Cossacks, swap meet, and a
tour of the LeMay museum complimentary with your ticket.
Triumph of Seattle featured seven bikes at our tent including one of our shop’s custom
builds, a café Bonneville that was a favorite among many enthusiasts. If
you were one of the many folks who stopped by to say hi or simply wanted a
little shade, thank you for doing so! :)
It is easy
to see why many concluded that this year was actually triple in size than last
year’s show. If you were un-able to make it this year, I highly recommend doing
so in 2014. It is one of the most impressive motorcycle shows that you can attend and gives the opportunity to see many once in a life time motorcycles that
you may not ever see again.
For your
viewing pleasure, put on a pot of coffee and enjoy our collection of photos from the event.
